The Magi walked, from afar, guided by a star to adore and to offer royal gifts to Baby Jesus.

We also have a star to guide us to Heaven, our Faith, which we must continuously nurture, because to lose the Faith is to lose the compass to Heaven … Faith is the most precious theological virtue, because it allows us to believe without seeing … Christ said: “Thomas, do you have faith because you have seen me? The people who have faith in me without seeing me are the ones who are really blessed!” (John 20:29) We must protect the virtue against the enemies of the soul — the world, Satan and his disciples, and the flesh — for they may lead us to sin and to risk our Faith.

It leads us to Christ in the Eucharist. We don’t have to walk from afar, but walk or drive to the nearest church, because He is present in the church’s tabernacle. Christ gives us His Grace in each mass to hear His Word, and too relive His last supper. Let’s emulate the Magi and adore Christ in the Eucharist.
