The Holy Spirit pours on us His seven gifts if we correspond to His love, such as Piety and Fear of the Lord.

Piety is a sanctifying gift of the Holy Spirit which is the instinctive affection for God that disposes us to render Him the worship and service He deserves, and to please those who are specially consecrated to Him. Piety perfects the virtue of religion, the practice of justice toward God, and enables us to contemplate the loving Almighty Father with filial respect, love and affectionate obedience.
