Jews should be prepared to leave Israel immediately when the prophetic armies surround Jerusalem, and the abomination of desolation sits in the Temple. The invasion and occupation of Israel by The Antichrist‘s alliance of nations, the Beast, is a major event that will occur 3½ years before Christ’s return. Israel will then experience one of the most horrible and terrifying times in history.

About 3½ years before the return of Christ, the Jews and God’s elect in Israel will be given two very clear signs that Israel’s invasion and occupation is imminent. They should immediately flee to survive and escape captivity.

“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, and then recognize that her desolation is near. Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those who are in the midst of the city must leave, and those who are in the country must not enter the city; because these are days of vengeance, so that all things which are written will be fulfilled. Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land and wrath to this people.”  (Luke 21:20-23)

An agreement will be made between the Beast and the Israelis to guarantee their protection, and the Middle East will have peace and prosperity for a short time in a volatile political environment between Jews and Arabs. The Jews will build a temple in Jerusalem during this period to worship their God and institute a sacrificial system. The political scene will worsen dramatically, because the Jews will worship the only true God, and their neighbors will become very hostile and will seek to destroy the temple.

The nations to the north and south of Israel will threaten to break their peace agreement with Israel. The king of the north who is the Antichrist, the Beast’s leader, will move against Egypt to honor its agreement to guarantee the peace. Egypt will be crushed along with several other Islamic nations in that area, but the ancient nations of Amon and Moab, actual Jordan, will escape and protect the Jews fleeing from Israel. (Isaiah 16:1-5)

“At the end time the king of the South will collide with him, and the king of the North will storm against him with chariots, with horsemen and with many ships; and he will enter countries, overflow them and pass through. He will also enter the Beautiful Land, and many countries will fall; but these will be rescued out of his hand: Edom, Moab and the foremost of the sons of Ammon. Then he will stretch out his hand against other countries, and the land of Egypt will not escape. But he will gain control over the hidden treasures of gold and silver and over all the precious things of Egypt; and Libyans and Ethiopians will follow at his heels. But rumors from the East and from the North will disturb him, and he will go forth with great wrath to destroy and annihilate many. He will pitch the tents of his royal pavilion between the seas and the beautiful Holy Mountain; yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.” (Daniel 11:40-45)

While the army of the Antichrist is crushing the Arabs in Northern Africa, the Islamic nations to the north and east, such as Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria, will indicate they are about to break their peace agreement with Israel. The Beast will send its army to Israel under the pretense of protecting Israel from an invasion. The Israelis will welcome the Beast’s protection feeling secure from their neighbors’ invasion threat.  The Antichrist’s intent is more sinister for he intends to invade, destroy and remove Israel as an obstacle to his plan of world domination.

“Therefore, when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.” (Matthew 24:15-18)

“Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the Apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.”  (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)

The son of destruction and the desolating abomination is the Antichrist who will desecrate the temple entering and sitting there in defiance of the true God. The Antichrist will attempt to prove to the world he is indeed a god, and the true God is false.
