The telescope at China’s Purple Mountain Observatory in Nanjing has captured images of an asteroid approaching Earth. The asteroid coded as 2009ES was observed Wednesday night, September 7, 2016. This is the first time that a telescope in China has captured images of the asteroid.

Zhao Haibin with the observatory said minor planets’ trajectories could be changed by stellar attraction from planets such as Mars. Continuous observation is needed to keep track of any changes.

We should pray and hope for such deflation, because God is merciful and He has created and ruled over nature. NASA has launched a few mitigating rockets, the last two recently on September 8 and 19, which have already fragmented the asteroid to mitigate or avert its harmful effects on Earth. Asteroid fragments may fall to Earth: some may burn to extinction in the atmosphere, but unfortunately others may hit our continents and oceans and create havoc. A few prophets have warned about a tsunami that will reach the Eastern littoral of all Americas, including the United States, around September 25, 2016.
