In Alabama, “Roll Tide” echoes not only on the football field but also in fervent Christian congregations, making it the most Christian state with an 86% Christian population. Sundays in this Southern haven are incomplete without hymns, creating a harmonious blend of hospitality and faith. 

Protestants dominate the religious landscape at 78%, followed by Roman Catholics (7%), Mormons (1%), and other Christian denominations. Alabama embodies the heart of the Bible Belt, where spirited traditions and diverse denominations come together beneath the Southern sun, celebrating a way of life that’s as deeply rooted as the magnolias that grace its landscapes.

I enjoyed learning Alabama is the most Christian state in America because I am a Roman Catholic mystic and chose the University of Albama at Birmingham (UAB) for my elder daughter to study Medicine. 

Our family visited my daughter in the Summer and fell in love with the state and its people. Yes, they showed a harmonious blend of hospitality and faith!

I believe Alabama will be pivotal in Spirit Renewal in America.
