Buddha’s teachings do not directly address Jesus Christ, but there are some interpretations. Buddha taught that he was a man, not a god, and emphasized universal compassion and the alleviation of suffering. On his deathbed, Buddha mentioned a future Messiah who would free people from sin. While Buddhism acknowledges Jesus as a great person, His Gospel teachings are largely ignored.
