Pilate describes excellently Jesus to the Roman Emperor Tiberius after the Resurrection of Christ. Pilate pinpoints meticulously the physiognomy, personality and mission of Christ in tumultuous social and political environment culminating with His Crucifixion and Resurrection.
The “Report of Pilate to Caesar” claims Jesus performed many miracles, Jews delivered Him to be tried and killed, and Pilate crucified Jesus to prevent a Jewish insurrection. The report also mentions a worldwide supernatural darkness occurring during Crucifixion, and Jesus’ Resurrection.
The video that presents Pilate’s letter to Tiberius confirms and reinforces the canonical gospels, and illuminates them. I recommend the video for its historical and religious perspectives.
Mark’s Gospel is the shortest, but the most historical of the four canonic gospels. Compare and contrast the video to the gospel, particularly its Chapters 14 through 16.
