Oliveto Citra 06-09-15

The Blessed Virgin Mary first appeared in the small town of Oliveto Citra, Italy, on May 24, 1985, though the apparitions were not recognized by the Church yet.

Paolo Apolito, who teaches cultural anthropology at the University of Salerno, Italy, had the good fortune to be present virtually at the start of public visions near his home in Salerno. He observed how the visions gained credence as apparitions, and followed how the town and its church evaluated the many apparition messages and dealt with the pilgrims arriving from southern Italy.

Interpreters connected the visions to a cosmic struggle of good and evil and the events at The End Times The content of the visions converged on the great themes of Marian apocalyptics.
