Supplement of the article Mary and the Holy Spirit
Mary and the Holy Spirit are partners in prayer intercession and distribution of Grace. As Mother of Christ, Mary is the Co-redemptrix of humanity; as the spouse of the Holy Spirit, she shares in the distribution of all graces.
Saint Maximillian Kolbe stated all graces come from the Almighty Father, through the merits of Christ, and are distributed by the Holy Spirit. Our prayers follow the reverse channel, through the Holy Spirit to Christ and through Christ to the Almighty Father. The Holy Spirit uses only Mary as human instrument in the distribution of graces.
We go through Mary to Christ essentially means through the Holy Spirit to Christ, because the Holy Spirit acts only through His divine spouse, with whom He is intimately united due to Mary’s Conception of Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.
