In the Bible every seventh day is a Sabbath day, every seventh year is a Shemitah and every seven Shemitah leads into the year called “Jubilee”.  Every Jubilee always follows a Shemitah, and is heralded sounding the trumpet throughout Israel.

The seventh Shemitah occurred in 2014 and 2015, and the Jubilee covered September 2015 to September 2016.  Sunday, October 2, 2016, marked the end of the Jubilee.
