The Meaning of Life

Everything in this world is temporary and fleeting, and therefore the meaning of this life is not found here, but only in God who lies behind it. The purpose of this life is not found in seeking anything of this life, but only in seeking God who gave it. ”What does man gain by all the toil at which he toils under the sun?” (Ecclesiastes 1:3).

We will see the Day of Judgement when we all stand before God. If we are not in the State of Grace then we have not received the salvation offered to us, hence we will be eternally separated from God. There will exist in the end only two destinies: Heaven or Hell.

How can one be safe in the Day of Judgment? Outside Jesus there is no safety or salvation.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

Everything will collapse, but God’s love and salvation will endure forever. And the only thing that will then matter is whether we sought Him, found Him, and became right with Him in that love and salvation. Now is the time of salvation … to get one’s life right with God. Do not delay till tomorrow because you may have just today.
