Satan was Lucifer, a notable angel, but rebelled against God who sent Lucifer from Heaven into Hell.  Satan introduced evil and death into the world and became the biggest loser Humanity has known.

God is the Creator and controller of the universe. He is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, eternal, the sublime source of ethics, and the giver of Grace, including the Faith to believe in Him.

Heaven is a place of eternal happiness while Hell is eternal suffering.  The Antichrist and Satan want to lead the maximum number of people into Hell.
