Volcanologist Clive Oppenheimer argues that there are more pressing dangers than a super eruption from the infamous Yellowstone Volcano, warning that tourists should be more concerned about gas emissions, earthquakes and hydrothermal explosions. Regarding the hydrothermal explosion, he admitted that it was difficult to detect when a big eruption would occur. He added that when they explode, they can cause destruction and should be a concern for tourists and hikers.
