Sporting je v odločilnem dvoboju proti nosilcu lige Europa Eintrachtu iz Frankfurta vodil pred strelcem, ko je slovenski sodnik Slavko Vinčič pri 59′ z odobritvijo Visual Referee Team dosodil enajstmetrovko zaradi domnevne rezine Sebastiána. Coates, znotraj prostora, pred njim je bil prekršek japonskega napadalca Daichija Kamade, ki je v zračnem naletu odnesel urugvajskega srednjega branilca, prekršek brez oznake in iz katerega izhaja razvpito nenamerno dotikanje sportingviste.

Celotna sodniška ekipa je bila sramotna. Vizualna sodniška ekipa ni opozorila glavnega sodnika igre na prekršek nad nemško ekipo, glavni sodnik tekme pa se ni posvetoval z vizualno sodniško ekipo. Škandal, ki ga je povzročila arogantna tehnična ali etična nesposobnost.

UEFA bi morala zagotoviti, da ta slovenska sodniška ekipa ne bo sodelovala na naslednjih izločilnih tekmah evropskega nogometnega prvenstva.

Toda a equipa de arbitragem foi vergonhosa. A equipa de arbitragem visual não alertou o árbitro principal do jogo sobre a falta contra a equipe alemã, e o arbitro principal não consultou a equipa de arbitragem visual. Escândalo causado por arrogante incompetência técnica ou ética.

A UEFA deve garantir que esta equipa de arbitragem eslovena não participe nos próximos jogos de eliminação dos Campeões Europeus de Futebol.
