Christian missionaries witnessed a “great move of God” in troubled Nicaragua. Missionary Britt Hancock reported thousands of miracles and tens of thousands converted to Christ among the approximately 650,000 people who participated in the evangelistic activities.

“Son, I decided to do something in Nicaragua, and if you say yes, you’ll see me do something,” Hancock said. “In the name of Jesus, by the end of 2024, we have evangelized Nicaragua with a population of six million people the size of Alabama, USA. “People are spontaneously baptized in the Holy Spirit,” he said.

In April 2018, the dictatorship of Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega brutally repressed protesters against his rule. Authorities killed 355 people, arrested hundreds more and attacked many institutions, including the Catholic Church.

Stories of civil unrest in places like Nicaragua remind us that God never abandons them. Nicaraguans felt the Holy Spirit and met Jesus, whose love conquered all fear on earth.
