Christian Persecution in Nigeria refers to Christian-Muslim strife traced back to 1953. Religious violence in Nigeria is dominated by the Boko Haram insurgency to establish an Islamic State in Nigeria. Terrorist groups have killed Christians in a Silent Genocidein Nigeria.
General Ibrahim Babangida enrolled Nigeria in the Organization of the Islamic Conference in the 1980s. This enrollment aggravated religious tensions in the country, particularly in the Christian community.
In 2018, US President Donald Trump called out the killing of Christians in Nigeria.
In May 2022, Deborah Yakubu, a Christian student in Sokoto, was lynched outside her university by a Muslim mob. Violence occurred after the lynching against other Christians sites reported by the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto.
In June 2022, a massacre killed over 50 parishioners in the Saint Francis Xavier Church in Owo.
News of massacres of Christians continued to emerge regularly. Around Christmas 2023 at least 300 Christians were murdered in Plateau State, and no perpetrators were held accountable. In the Diocese of Makurdi, in Benue State, also in the Middle Belt, at least 500 Christians were killed in 2023.
A massacre occurred around Easter 2024 in Plateau State, killing at least 39 people, while at least 239 were killed in Benue State in the first quarter of 2024.

North Korea’s oppressive religious climate dates back to the regime’s founding in 1945. Led by the dynastic Kim family, the country has empowered the “Juche” or “self-reliance” ideology as its state philosophy and has gone through great measures over the years to subdue any competing religious practices and forms of expression. North Koreans are strongly discouraged from participating in any form of outside religious worship. In addition, any type of religious activity or public displays of faith is strictly restricted, resulting in an extremely oppressive religious climate.
The Role of State-Approved Religion
Despite such tyranny, there are two officially-sanctioned religions in North Korea: Chondoism and Korean Buddhism, both of which were founded in the nineteenth century and have ties to Korean independence and regional identity struggles. These state-approved religions mostly serve as a platform for public expression, rather than an avenue for worship. As such, there is no access for North Koreans to receive meaningful religious instruction or direction in their lives.
Suppression of Unsanctioned Religions
North Korea also strictly suppresses religion activities that are not formally recognized or sanctioned by the government. A variety of activities or statements related to foreign faiths can be deemed subversive by the regime and can lead to detention or even death when discovered. Individuals deemed to have ties to faiths from outside of North Korea–particularly Christianity–are subject to harsh punishments. The US State Department has documented numerous reports of individuals facing harsh detention, interrogation, closure of places of worship, torture, and even execution as a result of their religious beliefs.
Christianity and North Korea
The North Korean regime has a particularly hostile attitude towards Christianity, as it is considered to be a “foreign” religion. As a result, North Koreans are strongly discouraged from participating in any outside Christian activities and the public display of Christian symbols is strictly prohibited. The suppression of Christianity is also felt in the North Korean prisons, where many Christians are subject to cruel treatment and abuse. In fact, some estimates suggest that as many as tens of thousands of Christians are currently detained in North Korean political prison camps. Others have been executed for their beliefs or are suffering from harsh living conditions and lack of adequate medical or food care.
Outside Pressure and Optimism for Change
In recent years, the international community and various advocacy organizations have increased their efforts to curb North Korea’s egregious abuses and human rights violations. All religious freedom-related United Nations resolutions have been supported by the majority of the international community and have called for the release of the estimated tens of thousands of individuals currently held in North Korean prisons for their faith. Though there is still much to be done, these efforts have raised some cautious optimism among advocates of religious freedom in North Korea. Many believe that North Korea’s oppressive religious climate is an issue that must be addressed in order to bring about meaningful, systemic changes in the country.
Religious Discrimination and Climate of Fear
North Korea’s oppressive religious climate has created an environment of fear and discrimination in the country, particularly for members of minority faiths. Those who are discovered to be engaging in religious activities outside of the two officially recognized religions risk detention, interrogation, closure of places of worship, torture, and even death. Despite the danger, some North Koreans continue to take the risk to practice their faith and share their beliefs with others. This is made increasingly difficult given the lack of access to religious resources; individuals rely on underground networks of church members operating from China in order to access the most basic religious scriptures or teachings.
Targeted Persecution of Minorities
The North Korean regime’s hostility towards religion and its harsh restrictions are felt most acutely by religious minorities, particularly Christians. The country’s prisons have become a site of tremendous persecution for Christians, with individuals facing torture, brutal interrogations, and death. In addition, North Korean Christians are routinely subjected to harsh living conditions, lack of adequate medical or food care. This targeted persecution has been well-documented by the international community, with reports emerging regularly of North Korean Christians facing imprisonment, interrogation and torture, and even execution for their beliefs.
Restrictions on Religious Activities
Not only do North Koreans face persecution for engaging in religious activities outside of the two officially-sanctioned religions, they are also heavily restricted in how they are able to practice the two state-sponsored faiths. Religious gatherings are strictly limited and monitored by authorities. In addition, individuals must register their activities and beliefs with the government, and many religious texts and materials are confiscated and banned.
Censorship and Propaganda
The North Korean regime’s hostility towards religion has also extended to the dissemination of religious information and materials. Censorship and propaganda are commonplace, with books and materials related to faith being banned and censored by the government. In addition, the regime has attempted to control the spread of religion through the use of official propaganda. While the government has attempted to limit the spread of religion in various ways, some progress has been made in recent years with the rise of independent media outlets, the arrival of foreign pastors, and the spread of smuggling networks. However, the future of religious freedom in North Korea remains uncertain.

9.Agama Kristian berbeza dengan agama Buddha dalam segala hal
Yesus mengajar satu-satunya perkara yang paling penting untuk dilakukan ialah percaya kepada-Nya. Percaya kepada-Nya adalah kehendak Tuhan yang tertinggi (Yohanes 6:29). Yesus adalah korban untuk dosa manusia (Markus 10:45) dan hanya iman kepada-Nya yang dapat mendamaikan kita dengan Tuhan (Efesus 2:8-9).
Yesus mengajar tentang Kerajaan Syurga dan tempat siksaan kekal yang dipanggil Neraka di mana orang jahat akan dihukum (Matius 14:41-42). Yesus menyembuhkan orang sakit, membangkitkan orang mati, mengusir setan dari orang, dan dibangkitkan dari kematian.

“IHANDA NINYO ANG INYONG SARILI SA PAGDATING NG AKING MINAMAHAL NA ANGHEL NG KAPAYAPAAN, NA HINDI KINALITO SIYA SA ISANG ANGHEL NG LANGIT NA KORTE. Siya ay isang Anghel ng Kapayapaan dahil sa kanyang kakanyahan, ang kanyang misyon na patuloy na gumabay, humihikayat at magbigay ng espirituwal na mga salita upang ang pananampalataya ay hindi masiraan ng loob”.

The annual report evaluates and ranks countries where Christians face the most persecution, analyzing factors such as societal discrimination, government restrictions and violence against Christian communities. The 2025 Open Doors World Watch List ranked Turkey among the 50 countries where Christians face the most challenges in practicing their faith. This year’s findings for Turkey highlight a troubling mix of cultural, legal and social challenges that continue to marginalize the Christian population.
According to the report despite Christianity’s long historical presence in the region, it is often viewed as a negative Western influence, a perception that has persisted even among moderate Muslims and secular Turks. Members of Christian communities, such as Greek and Armenian Orthodox believers, are often regarded as outsiders. Their churches regularly face bureaucratic hurdles and legal challenges aimed at restricting their religious practices.
Armenian and Assyrian (Syriac) communities face heightened pressure in southeastern Turkey, where ethnic and religious tensions intersect. Many Christians from these groups have left their ancestral regions, relocating to western Turkey to escape ongoing hostilities tied to rivalries between the Turkish military and Kurdish resistance movements.
While converting from Islam to Christianity is not illegal, converts face intense familial and societal pressure, including threats of divorce, disinheritance and being disowned.
The report highlighted pervasive everyday discrimination against Christians in Turkey. Religious affiliation is recorded on Turkish ID cards, enabling bias against Christian job applicants.
Protestant Christians, primarily concentrated in western coastal cities such as Istanbul, also encounter challenges. While these urban centers are generally more liberal and secular, pockets of social conservatism and Islamic influence still subject Christians to hostility. Rural and inland areas are described as being even less tolerant.
The Protestant community remains a specific target, with several expatriate Christians subjected to entry bans, forcing them to leave Turkey. Additionally, Christian asylum seekers and refugees — many of whom are converts from Islam — face widespread discrimination and abuse. This group includes individuals from countries such as Iran, Afghanistan and Syria who fled persecution in their home countries only to encounter further challenges in Turkey.
The report documented a rise in targeted attacks on church buildings over the past year, along with two reported killings of Christians. While overall societal attitudes toward the Christian community remain largely unchanged, the high levels of social and systemic discrimination continue to be a serious concern.

In Pakistan, violence against Christians has escalated to alarming levels, with believers often treated as second-class citizens within their own country. Christian leaders tirelessly advocate for the rights and safety of their communities, yet Pakistani Christians live under the constant threat of being falsely accused of blasphemy—a charge that can lead to them being sentenced to death.
This precarious situation forces many to navigate their daily lives with extreme caution, aware that a single accusation could result in not only their persecution but also dire consequences for their families and communities. The atmosphere of fear and discrimination has created a palpable tension, with the Christian minority striving to maintain their faith and identity in an increasingly hostile environment.
Christian persecution in Pakistan includes large-scale kidnappings of young believers who are thrust into forced marriages, dreadful violence directed at churches on feast days, and societal discrimination which keeps our brothers & sisters poor and vulnerable. Said one pastor in Lahore, “The Mullah spreads a lie, there is violence from the mob, and no justice from the state—this is no longer a country hospitable to the exercise of the Christian faith.”

Copiii Mei sunt umili, pe ei îi iubesc cu predilecție specială.
Dreptatea Mea Milostivă vine la cel îndurerat care strigă Milostivirea Mea și la Mama Mea, Mijlocitoarea voastră Maternă.

Vântul, focul și apa ocupă un loc major în în dezvoltarea evenimentelor. Mari orașe vor fi reduse de elemente și de cutremurele puternice care duc la dispariția lor.
Dragonul apare și provoacă distrugere, națiunile se înfruntă fără a denota teamă. Se vorbește de pace și în locul ei, se pregătește o ambuscadă, lăsând națiunile consumate în nimicul lor.
Foametea provoacă furtună peste aceia care nu au păstrat provizii. Sunt Milostiv și dau de mâncare înfometatului, dacă acesta nu are hrană: sunt Tată, „Sunt Cel care sunt” (Ex 3, 11-14)
ESTE MOMENTUL PE CARE ATÂȚIA L-AU ANUNȚAT.
Este momentul în care copiii Mei, impregnați de răutate provoacă oroare și uimire pe unde trec, uitând că sunt Stăpânul Cerului și Pământului și că voi trimite omului lipsit de pace „marele semnal” care vă va spune că a venit momentul atât de așteptat și ignorat de majoritatea.
Rugați-vă, copiii Mei, rugați-vă, știți că nu vă găsiți singuri, sunt fidel alor Mei și vă păstrez în Palma Mâinii Mele drepte.
Rugați-vă, copiii Mei, rugați-vă, Mama Mea Binecuvântată vă iubește; „Femeia îmbrăcată în soare cu luna sub Picioarele Ei” conduce pe copiii Mei ai marii Armate Mariane.
Rugați-vă, copiii Mei, rugați-vă, preaiubitul Meu Înger de Pace vă privește, pledând pentru fiecare dintre voi și pentru atâția care, goi de iubire, refuză să se schimbe. Fraților,
De Mâna Domnului nostru, Isus Cristos, suntem conduși pentru a ajunge să fim parte din iubirea care dă pe dinafară, care este Esența Iubirii însăși.
Domnului nostru, Isus Cristos, ne desfășoară o serie de evenimente, pe care dacă le depășim într-o altă formă, cine știe pentru ce le-am rezistat.
