I meditated about the Holy Spirit‘s gifts during the Eucharistic Hour, on June 8, 2012.  A metaphor emerged: we are turbines, and the Holy Spirit is the wind blowing each turbine as He pleases.

We become His instruments delivering Him our intellect and will. Saint Thomas Aquinas stated: wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and counsel direct the intellect, while fortitude, piety, and fear of the Lord direct the will.

I awoke scared the next day hearing a loud and clear voice: “your suffering is your treasure.”  I realized it was a Holy Spirit’s message.
